Ryan Worthen is a corporate communicator, business owner and community volunteer with more than 20 years of experience helping businesses communicate effectively.

Ryan works with small businesses, non-profits, and mission organizations throughout the community seeking growth in the areas of marketing, business development, public relations, and strategic communications.

Ryan started That One Company in 2004 to provide custom-tailored creative approaches to help small businesses, non-profits, and mission organizations stand out. The scope of his professional experience includes strategic business planning, business development, stakeholder and public relations, copy writing, public speaking, print and web design, video and multimedia production, social media engagement, web and interface usability analysis, corporate social responsibility efforts and more.

Prior to starting That One Company, Ryan actively designed and maintained websites for small businesses dating back to 1996 (before Google even existed).

Ryan served as the chair of the Marketing and Community Awareness Committee on the board of directors for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Bluegrass and is a past president for the Thoroughbred Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America. Ryan currently serves on the board of directors for YMCA of Central Kentucky and is also engaged in many other civic, community and charitable endeavors.

Ryan is a former collegiate tennis player and holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from Asbury University in Wilmore, Kentucky. He resides in Lexington, Kentucky with his wife, daughter, and Runner (the family’s Golden Retriever).
